Sacred Dreams

Where do you go? What do you see?

When you close your eyes, do you think about me?

What I wouldn’t give to hold you tonight!

In that realm of dreams may our love take flight!

To live in that world where we could be free!

If you had a choice, would you stand beside me?

What I wouldn’t give to kiss you tonight!

In my prayerful dreams will our love take flight!

Oh, the loneliness! Crossing each year,

Knowing I’ll never draw you near.

Still, my heart holds on to each treasured tear

And words once whispered in my ear!

I know you can feel the hope in my plea!

So just close your eyes, and remember me!

What I wouldn’t give to see you tonight!

In our sacred dreams may our love take flight!
